The story
My story is about the sixteen-year-old girl Amy and is set in modern-day London.
After her sister Allison, also her last family member, is found dead by the downstairs neighbour, Amy is unusually quickly adopted by Ann and Steve. Amy is suspicious, but her friends convince her to wait and see, saying her adoptive parents don't have such bad intentions as she thinks. But the day after the adoption, she discovers that her adoptive parents are breaking into her old house...
There are people in the world who have magical eyes, and every time they use them, a bright flash of light follows. They keep their existence secret and never let their magical eyes shine in public due to the cruelties that took place in the past, such as witch burnings. There are four Cases, four ways people react to the existence of magic.
